Region 2

Bingham 34, Copper Hills 10

Bingham (3-5) cruised to a 34-10 victory over Copper Hills (3-5) in a Region 2 matchup thanks to a strong rushing performance. Bingham’s Owen Peterson found the end zone three times, including a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns from 22 and 19 yards, putting the game out of reach for Copper Hills. Teki Finau got the scoring started for the Miners with a 22-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Copper Hills managed a 24-yard field goal by Jael Chavez just before halftime and a late 7-yard touchdown pass from Skyler Thomas to Beck Osmond, but it was not enough to close the gap. Bingham’s Tucker Brown also contributed with two field goals and four extra points to round out the scoring.

Westlake 31, Riverton 28

Westlake (5-2) held off Riverton (3-4) in a tight Region 2 contest, prevailing 31-28 despite a lengthy weather delay. Judge Memorial’s Mavrick Middleton found the end zone twice with 2-yard runs, but the Bulldogs could not keep up with Summit Academy’s offensive momentum. Summit Academy’s strong second quarter, scoring 22 points, proved pivotal as they cruised to a comfortable win.

2A South

San Juan 81, Grand 6

San Juan (5-2) set a new school record for points in a game with a dominant 81-6 victory over Grand (0-7) in their 2A South matchup. Jagger Nieves was instrumental in the Broncos’ offensive explosion, scoring five touchdowns, including a 3-yard pass, a 70-yard punt return, and rushing scores of 15, 37, and 65 yards. Beau Yeomans contributed significantly through the air, throwing touchdown passes to four different receivers. San Juan raced to a 47-0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back, compiling a 74-0 advantage by halftime. Grand’s lone score came late in the fourth quarter on a 70-yard pass from Justin Kimmerle to Beto Carroll.

South Sevier 41, Emery 21

South Sevier (7-0) continued their perfect season with a commanding 41-21 win over Emery (2-4) in a 2A South matchup. After a promising start where Emery led 14-7 in the first quarter, South Sevier roared back with a flurry of scoring, including a 77-yard touchdown reception by Hudson Flinders from Bridger Bradshaw and a 55-yard bomb also from Bradshaw to Rayce Freeman. Bradshaw was instrumental, tossing three touchdown passes while also adding a 6-yard rushing score. Emery’s Trygg Jensen connected twice with Krae LeRoy in the opening quarter, but the Spartans were held scoreless in the fourth quarter as South Sevier’s defense tightened. Masen Healey added two rushing touchdowns for the Rams, capping a solid all-around performance.

1A North

Duchesne 48, Millard 14

Nashden Goodliffe starred for Duchesne (7-1) with a standout performance in their dominant 48-14 victory over Millard (4-3) in a 1A North contest. Goodliffe scored five touchdowns, including a remarkable 96-yard run late in the first quarter and an 82-yard sprint in the fourth. Duchesne built a commanding 41-0 halftime lead, with Rhett Clayburn also contributing a 25-yard touchdown reception. Millard’s Connor Stevens managed two late touchdowns on runs of 10 and 30 yards, but it wasn’t enough to challenge Duchesne’s imposing early lead. The victory solidifies Duchesne’s strong standing in the 1A North.

North Summit 54, North Sevier 15

North Summit (4-4) dominated North Sevier (1-7) in a 54-15 blowout during a 1A North game. The Braves exploded early with a 20-0 first-quarter lead, thanks to a pair of touchdown passes from Cru Richins to Kip Richins and Knox Woolstenhulme. By halftime, North Summit had extended their lead to 27-8. Cru Richins added an 11-yard rushing touchdown just before the half ended, and the onslaught continued in the second half. Key performances included Tayton Pace’s 29-yard touchdown run and Knox Woolstenhulme’s 31-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. Brody Bulloch provided the Wolves’ highlights with a 31-yard receiving touchdown in the second quarter and an 85-yard kick return in the closing minutes of the game.

1A South

Beaver 55, Parowan 14

Beaver (6-2) dominated the 1A South game with a resounding 55-14 victory over Parowan (3-5). The Beavers started strong, building a 28-6 halftime lead with touchdown runs from Davin Orton, Bridger Blackner, and Dub Pender. Beaver extended their lead in the third quarter, highlighted by a 20-yard touchdown pass from Orton to Noah Wolff. Parowan managed two touchdowns, including a 26-yard pass from Hunter Bettridge to Tyson Bettridge, but struggled to catch up. Trey Bradshaw’s 6-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter sealed the game for Beaver, who displayed a well-rounded offensive effort.

Kanab 64, Enterprise 12

Kanab (7-1) cruised past Enterprise (3-5) with a dominating 64-12 victory in a 1A South region game. The Cowboys posted their sixth-highest point total in school history, with Grady Anderson capping the scoring barrage with a 57-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Kanon Virostko added a 1-yard touchdown run earlier in the fourth, while Brogun Virostko contributed through the air with touchdown passes to Degan Swapp and Lattimer Glover. Kolton Blomquist and Hayden Gubler each found the end zone twice on the ground, as Kanab controlled the game from the start. Enterprise managed touchdowns in the first half, but was shut out in the second as Kanab’s defense clamped down.

Nonregion

Delta 28, Carbon 0

Delta (1-6) secured their first win of the season with a commanding 28-0 shutout against Carbon (2-6) in a nonregion matchup. The Rabbits’ ground game was unstoppable, led by Jett Rawlinson, who scored on runs of 3 and an impressive 71 yards. Brahm Rawlinson also contributed significantly with touchdown runs of 15 and 28 yards. Delta established their dominance early, posting a 14-0 lead in the first quarter and extending it to 21-0 by halftime. The Rabbits’ defense held strong throughout the game, keeping the Dinos scoreless.

Layton Christian 34, Providence Hall 8

Layton Christian (6-2) dominated a nonregion matchup against Providence Hall (2-6), securing a 34-8 victory before the game was halted at halftime due to lightning. Layton Christian’s Chris Monroe set the tone early with a 72-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter, contributing significantly to the Eagles’ offense. Monroe also connected with Thomas Vito on a 22-yard touchdown pass. Layton Christian’s Barack Muhindo added to the scoring with a 51-yard run, and Luis Froehlich caught a 4-yard pass from Monroe in the opening quarter. The Patriots managed to get on the board in the second quarter with a 31-yard pass from Andrew Taylor to Wyatt Martin, but it wasn’t enough to catch the surging Eagles.

Grace, Idaho 37, Rich 36

Grace rallied to edge Rich (6-1) 37-36 in a thrilling nonregion matchup. Trailing 29-22 entering the fourth quarter, the Grizzlies scored the game-winning touchdown in the final moments to stun the Rebels. Wilkes Weston was a standout for Rich, rushing for three touchdowns, including two in the second quarter as Rich grabbed a 22-14 halftime lead. Despite Weston’s efforts, Grace mounted a late comeback, securing 15 fourth-quarter points. With this win, Grace handed Rich their first loss of the season.

1A 8-player

St. Joseph 44, Panguitch 34

St. Joseph (4-3) capitalized on a strong offensive performance to secure a 44-34 victory over Panguitch (1-6) in a 1A 8-player nonregion matchup. Madden Bentley powered the Jayhawks’ offense with three touchdown passes, connecting twice with Izaiah Hebert, including a 51-yard score, and once with Hunter Roberts. Roberts also excelled on the ground, breaking free for a 68-yard touchdown run. St. Joseph’s defense contributed to the scoring as Hebert returned a fumble 29 yards for a touchdown. Panguitch fought back but struggled to contain the diverse scoring threats from St. Joseph, resulting in their sixth defeat of the season.

Milford 65, Water Canyon 0

Milford (5-2) showcased a dominant performance in their 65-0 victory over Water Canyon (1-5) in a 1A 8-player game. The Tigers scored the fifth most points in a single game in their history, led by a formidable passing attack from Carson Cheney, who connected with Boston Sullivan for touchdowns of 39, 83, and 27 yards. Milford’s defense was equally tenacious, with Haze Marshall returning an interception 95 yards for a score early in the fourth quarter. Griffin Walker added to the offensive fireworks with a 32-yard and a 35-yard touchdown catch, the latter thrown by Tyce Barnes. The Wildcats were stifled throughout, unable to score against Milford’s relentless defense.
