YouTube Gold: Jayson Tatum’s Duke Highlights

Countdown to Craziness always has some fun highlights and this year was no exception: during the player introductions, there was a bit of a surprise as former Duke great Jayson Tatum came out last and greeted the Crazies, much to their delight.

Tatum of course is currently recuperating from an Achilles injury and by all accounts making a brilliant recovery.

Up until his injury, he had been building a great NBA career, including his first NBA ring two seasons ago, and if his remarkable recovery holds up, he’ll be back sooner rather than later.

With his electrifying return to Cameron Friday, we thought it would be a good time to link some of his Duke highlights.

We’ve gotten used to seeing him as a Celtic now and he’s been great there. In fact, he’s on track to have his uniform retired whenever he finishes his career. You can be a great player in Boston, but the standard is championships. Now that he’s won one, we expect someday to see his jersey in the rafters along with names like Russell, Bird, Havlicek, Cowens and Cousy.

However, he was wonderful in Cameron too and it’s good to remember.
