The Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, which has battled adverse weather conditions all week in Scotland, has been reduced to 54 holes, with the final day of competition set for Sunday.
Saturday's third round was canceled and the DP World Tour says the third round will now be Sunday and that the winner will be crowned after it.
"Due to the impact of the weather on Saturday 4 October the 2025 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship will be decided over 54 holes," it says on the DP World Tour website. Specifically, it was high winds that are to blame.
The DP World Tour reports: "After Friday's weather had led to a suspension of the second round in the late afternoon, those with holes still to complete returned to the three host courses on Saturday morning. Round three got under way in the early afternoon but no-one managed to complete more than two holes before play was suspended."
Scotland's Robert MacIntyre is one of the two co-leaders, alongside Richard Sterne, at 12 under. Louis Oosthuizen is solo third at 11 under. Other notables include Brooks Koepka and Matt Fitzpatrick in a group at 8 under, tied for 15th, and Tyrrell Hatton and Tommy Fleetwood at 7 under, tied for 22nd.
The Alfred Dunhill is typically played on three courses – Old Course St. Andrews, Carnoustie Golf Links and Kingsbarns Golf Links – over four days.
