Mark Sanchez was reportedly hospitalized after a violent incident in downtown Indianapolis. The former USC Trojans quarterback was there as part of FOX Sports' broadcast team for Sunday's Las Vegas Raiders vs. Indianapolis Colts game. According to TMZ Sports, Sanchez was reportedly stabbed overnight in downtown Indianapolis.
FOX Sports released a statement on Saturday afternoon about Sanchez's condition following the incident.
“Mark Sanchez was injured in Indianapolis on Saturday and is currently recovering in the hospital in stable condition. We are deeply grateful to the medical team for their exceptional care and support. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mark, and we ask that everyone please respect his and his family’s privacy during this time.”

Sanchez left USC as one of the school's best quarterbacks. The All-Pac-10 signal-caller threw for 3,965 yards with 45 total touchdowns and 16 interceptions in a three-year span. The 34 TDs during his final year was second-most in Trojan history when he left early for the NFL. It was behind Matt Leinart's total of 38, who came right before Sanchez at Southern Cal.
The fifth overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft played ten seasons in the league before migrating into broadcasting. Sanchez is currently a color analyst for NFL coverage on FOX.
