Bandido successfully defended his Ring of Honor World Championship in CMLL on Friday night, but it seems it came at a cost.

One-half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions, Bandido, returned to Mexico last night for CMLL’s Viernes Espectacular and once again successfully defended his Ring of Honor World Championship against Hechicero of the Don Callis Family.

This was a rematch of their epic match earlier this year at Death Before Dishonor. Unfortunately, Bandido’s shoulder popped out of place during the match. The champion managed to pop it back into place and was able to finish the match.

Following the match, Bandido took to his Instagram Stories to reveal the mishap with his arm in a sling, apologizing to the fans of CMLL and promising Hechicero another match in the future.

“An apology to all the fans of @cmll_mx. My shoulder came out and went back into place. Thank you @reyhechicero for being a gentleman, we owe a third to all our Mexican fans,” Bandido said in a translated post.

Will Bandido miss any time due to this injury?

Bandido is a very important part of both AEW and Ring of Honor right now as he holds championship gold in each promotion.

This is hopefully not nearly as serious as Bandido’s wrist injury that sidelined him from AEW for almost a year, requiring two separate surgeries to fix the damage.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
