"Fine Margins Cost Us Again": Arne Slot Explains Liverpool's Third Straight Defeat
Liverpool manager Arne Slot admitted frustration after his side suffered second consecutive Premier League defeat losing 2 - 1 away to Chelsea on Saturday in Matchweek 7.
Slot: "Fine margins cost us again"
Speaking after the game, Slot said:
"If we come to Stamford Bridge and create as many chances as we did today, that’s positive. They'd one real opportunity in the first half and they scored from it"
He added:
"After making it 1 - 1, things were going our way. I was expecting us to score the 2nd goal but decision making could have been better. In the last 10 to 15 minute, it was very tight. We reached the box with Andy Robertson but couldn’t control the ball. Once again, it came down to small details .. as has often been the case since I arrived"
"This week in the Champions League that was a penalty. In the Premier League, there are different standards."

Tough run on the road
"Like last week against Crystal Palace, we faced another difficult away match and again, the fine margins went against us"
The result leaves Liverpool stuck on 15 point and drops them to second place in the Premier League table, following back to back 1 - 2 defeats to Crystal Palace & Chelsea.
Meanwhile Chelsea climbed to 6th with 12 point after securing crucial home win.
Liverpool’s struggles extend beyond domestic competition .. the Reds have now suffered three straight losses in all tournaments including 1 - 0 defeat to Galatasaray in Champions League group stage.
🗣️ "We were VERY close to a result, it's small margins."
