Real Madrid has not given up on the 2024 Ballon d'Or. The Spanish giants are preparing a bid for Rodri, Manchester City's midfield maestro, according to the Daily Star.

The 29-year-old Spanish midfielder, crowned the world's best player in 2024, is back in action after a serious knee injury that cut his season short. He's already featured in four Premier League matches for Manchester City this season.

The Spanish club is reportedly ready to put £130 million on the table to secure his services. Manchester City are keen to keep hold of him, but Real Madrid's interest could tempt Rodri, especially if Pep Guardiola were to leave. Rodri is under contract with City until 2027, but the club has already started to look for long-term replacements, including Bayern Munich's Aleksandar Pavlović and even Real Madrid's Eduardo Camavinga.
