Big plays and a lot of touchdowns highlight this week's Athlete of the Week in Pueblo

There are no voting restrictions, so vote now and vote often. This week's Athletes of the Week are from September 26 to October 2.

As we have reached the midpoint of the fall sports season, the athletes of Pueblo are beginning to set their teams up for a playoff push.

Each week, the Chieftain recognizes the top student-athletes from area schools to highlight those who have performed at a high level. The Chieftain sports staff selects them. Coaches can nominate players by emailing [email protected] before Thursday night.

Last week’s winner was Jackson Bjorum of Rye High School, winning with over 62.37% of the votes for Week 4.

Pueblo Chieftain readers can now vote for their favorite high school athletes at the newspaper's website, chieftain.com. The poll is located at the bottom of the article and closes at midnight on Friday.

After each week, the winner will move on to the final vote of the season.

(Please note, once an athlete wins a weekly vote, they will not be eligible to win again until the Fall Athlete of the Season vote.)

There are no voting restrictions, so vote now and vote often. This poll will close on Friday at midnight. Here are the Athletes of the Week for Sept. 26 to Oct. 2.
