In a recent report, Fichajes claimed that Liverpool are preparing to move in for Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise next year. It has been stated that the Reds have identified the French wide player as a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Olise’s Excellent Form In German Football This Season

Olise is having an impressive campaign at the German club after he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The French sensation has banged in five goals and grabbed six assists in ten matches for the Munich outfit this season across all competitions.

The 23-year-old has proven his worth in front of the opponent’s goal by averaging 4.25 shots per 90 minutes in the Bundesliga. He has kept 54.5% of his attempts on target. Olise has also been tidy when distributing the ball after completing 80.4% of his attempted passes in the German top flight (stats via fbref.com).

His current contract at the German club will expire in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for the Reds to sign him on the cheap next year.

Will Olise Be A Good Fit For Liverpool Boss Arne Slot?

Olise is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to create some inviting chances for others around him in the final third.

The French sensation can even strike the ball with venom from long range. He can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas.

Olise is primarily a right-winger but can also function in the number ten position if required. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League from his time at Crystal Palace. We can expect him to bring more quality and depth to Liverpool head coach Arne Slot’s frontline.

At 23, Olise has got a bright future ahead of him, which makes him a decent fit for the Merseyside club’s needs in the long run. He will also help Liverpool compete for some major honours over the next few years. Hence, Slot would be wise to step up his efforts to land Olise this January or at the end of this campaign.
