The Denver Broncos needed a big time performance from tight end Evan Engram, after him struggling in the first four games of the season. Engram came up in a big way in the fourth quarter, with two huge catches, none bigger than the touchdown which brought Denver to 17-16. Engram finished with four catches for 33 yards and a touchdown.

Dud: Coverage linebacker

Without linebacker Dre Greenlaw in the lineup to guard running backs or tight ends, the Broncos have struggled. It was nearly costly when the Eagles went up 17-3 on a Saquon Barkley touchdown coming against Alex Singleton. Barkley was wide open, and Singleton couldn't catch him. Greenlaw is eligible for return after Week 7.

Stud: Fourth quarter offense

After three quarters of mediocre offensive output, the Broncos scored 18 unanswered points to take a 21-17 lead with just over a minute left. Nix looked sharp after the first 45 minutes, leading touchdown drives of 64 and 72, along with the final drive, netting a field goal. Nix used his legs, the ground game got churning, and passes were connecting. Bo Nix was clutch, hitting receivers, and not making mistakes.

Stud: Defense

Finally! The Broncos' defense held in its biggest stand of the year. The defense allowed the Eagles to get to the Denver 29. No further. The Hail Mary at the end produced an incompletion, and the defense stood tall against former head coach Vic Fangio. Pass rusher Nik Bonitto finished with 2.5 sacks, and the defense sacked Hurts six times. Rookie Jahdae Barron came up with a huge play on the final Eagle drive with a pass breakup. Everyone fought until the end.

Stud: Head coach Sean Payton

Payton went for broke when Nix threw his second touchdown of the day to Evan Engram. Payton didn't even hesitate to keep the offense out on the field to go for two. The Broncos got it, and made it 18-17, a lead they never relinquished. Payton called a masterful fourth quarter, and the Broncos have their signature win of his time in Denver.
