'This offense has got to stop being a hindrance' Bengals, Browning criticized

Fox analyst Daryl Johnston shared criticism of the Bengals' offense during the first half of the team's NFL Week 5 game against the Detroit Lions.

Fox analyst Daryl Johnston shared criticism of the Cincinnati Bengals offense during the first half of the team's NFL Week 5 game against the Detroit Lions at Paycor Stadium.

Johnston questioned the accuracy of several of Bengals quarterback Jake Browning's passes, including one that was intercepted by the Lions' Amik Robertson.

"This offense has got to stop being a hindrance to this team!" Johnston said after Browning's interception. "This offense isn't even close to where it is with Joe Burrow at quarterback."

"Without Joe Burrow there, that deep ball is absent," play-by-play announcer Kevin Kugler added. "There's no vertical passing game at all."

Later in the first half, Browning underthrew Ja'Marr Chase on a pass intercepted by the Lions' Kerby Joseph.
