Rico Dowdle is ready to enact revenge.

The former Cowboys' running back was not resigned by Dallas in the offseason and instead landed with the Carolina Panthers. Now Week 6 gives him a chance to face his former team and show them what they're missing.

The running back got a massive opportunity on Sunday with Chuba Hubbard ruled out and Dowdle took it. He rushed 23 times for 209 yards and a touchdown.

When he was asked postgame about his mindset facing his former team, Dowdle was confident that he's going to make them regret their decision not to resign him.

Dowdle's 206 rushing yards are the most in a single game this season. The second-most is Derrick Henry with 169 yards in Week 1.

Prior to Hubbard's injury, Dowdle was not getting the usage he had hoped for when joining the Panthers. But after his recent performance, even with Chubbard back in the fold it could be closer to a split backfield.

Dowdle clearly believes he's due for another big game, this time against his former team.
