SIOUX CITY, IA (KCAU) – As per usual, a lot to choose from this week, but let’s take a look at our top 5 plays!
5. Over at our game of the week in Hartington, Nebraska, for some 8-man football! Second play of the game, Wausa/Osmond quarterback Mac Carlson fakes the toss and scrambles to the left weaving in and out of traffic all the way home for a 50-yard touchdown.
4. We head to Ridge View, where West Lyon’s Jordan Meyer receives a punt and finds a convoy of blockers that lead him all the way to the endzone untouched and keeping grass stains off the white threads extending their already huge lead over the Raptors.
3. Number three finds us in Le Mars for some volleyball. MMCRU return goes astray; Tia Tentinger tracks it down, keeps it alive with one hand so Raya Stabb can bump it back into play!
2. From Northwestern College, Saturday, Jovany Kobongo is called for a 58-yard field goal attempt and, with the wind behind him, has just enough leg to get it through and take the lead heading into halftime!
1. Our top play of the week goes to our guy Chris Ford from Sioux City East doing his best DeSean Jackson impersonation, dancing around defenders after the punt, reversing field, and eventually taking it all the way to the house for a 75-yard punt return touchdown!
