VERMILLION, S.D. (KELO) — USD dominated Murray State 49-24 on Saturday. The Coyotes scored on each of their first two drives and led 42-7 at one point.

The Yotes put up 568 yards of offense and outgained the Racers 380-100 on the ground behind another strong day from LJ Phillips Jr. He rushed for four touchdowns and 244 yards.

“We did a tremendous job this week in preparation of figuring out where our strengths and weaknesses were this entire year,” USD redshirt senior quarterback Aidan Bouman said. “Kudos to our entire offensive staff, getting us in a really advantageous situation this week. And at the end of the day, it’s just guys out there making plays.”

The 3-3 Coyotes hit the road to face Indiana State next week.
