EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The University of Southern Indiana men’s soccer team scored two goals in the second half to tie with Incarnate Word.

The Cardinals got on the board in the first half with a Diego Robles penalty kick for a goal after he was fouled by Sam McConnell. But in the second half, the Screaming Eagles gained their wings. David Davila scored in the 75th minute to tie the game at one. Incarnate Word responded with a Noe Robles goal four minutes later, but Edin Cvorovic netted the equalizer at the 86th minute.

USI recorded 12 shots in the match with four on goal, while Incarnate Word had 14 and six on goal. Goalkeeper Jacob English was a key player in the tied match as he finished with four saves.

The Screaming Eagles will be back in action Thursday, October 19th at noon against Liberty in Strassweg Field. The match is set to stream on ESPN plus.
