Lions RB David Montgomery thanks Bengals for getting sister Kiki on Paycor Stadium field

Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery, a former Mount Healthy High School standout, had a passing touchdown and a rushing touchdown in his team's NFL Week 5 win against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium.

But Montgomery's huge effort in his Cincinnati homecoming was especially significant because his sister, Kiki, who was paralyzed in a 2024 car accident, was watching in person for the first time since she was injured.

"To be able to come back home where it all started for me," Montgomery said after the game. "Being able to kind of show my arm, where it all started for me. I think it was a super special moment."

Montgomery was asked how meaningful it was to have his sister on hand for his big game against the Bengals.

"It was super, super meaningful," Montgomery replied. "You know, my sister hadn't seen me play in person since her accident. To be able to kinda get her here. I really appreciate the Cincinnati Bengals helping making sure that she got on the field. I think that was special. And I appreciate them for that. You know, it was a very special moment for me."
