Rangers sacked manager Russell Martin after drawing 1-1 with Falkirk this weekend.
Martin was the shortest-serving manager in their history, winning just one of his seven league games in charge and losing both games in the Europa League.
But who could replace him? Here are the current frontrunners according to the odds…
Sean Dyche 11/4

Sean Dyche has emerged as one of the early favourites for the job. He has been out of work since January when he left Everton and was in charge of the Toffees for two years before he was sacked.
Dyche kept Everton up in both of his seasons at the club, even though they were hit with heavy points deductions in his second year.
Prior to that the Englishman spent 10 very successful years at Burnley, where his biggest success was leading them to a seventh place finish and Europa League qualification in 2017/18.
Steven Gerrard 2/1

Former Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has also been heavily linked with the job. The Englishman managed the club from June 2018 to November 2021 and famously led them to their 55th league title.
The Rangers faithful built a connection with Gerrard following the historic league title win. He left Rangers to go to Aston Villa but was far from a success in the Midlands and was sacked less than a year into his tenure.
He has been out of work since leaving Al-Ettifaq by mutual consent in January of 2025.
Rafa Benitez 3/1

Benitez has been out of work since leaving Celta Vigo in 2024 but has had a long managerial career which includes spells at Valencia, Real Madrid, Liverpool and Newcastle, winning several trophies across that time.

Recently sacked by West Ham, Potter’s managerial career has took a turn for the worse since leaving Brighton for Chelsea in 2022.
Danny Rohl 4/1
Perhaps a surprise option linked with the job is Danny Rohl. His only former managerial job came at Sheffield Wednesday, where he got the club pushing towards the play-offs despite being on a limited budget.
Rohl left the club this summer due to problems with the club’s ownership, with staff going unpaid.
Kevin Muscat 5/1
Muscat is a former Rangers defender and is currently in charge of Shanghai Port in China, where he has been for two years.
The other teams he has managed are Melbourne Victory, St.Truiden and Yokohama F.Marinos.
Derek McInnes 6/1
The former Rangers midfielder currently manages Hearts who are top of the Scottish Premiership – two points ahead of Celtic and a staggering 11 clear of Rangers.
