A 6ft 2in Goalkeeper has made the claim that Chelsea tried to sign him but the move then broke down and failed.

Chelsea have been signing plenty of goalkeepers lately and over the last few years, and there has been something of a goalkeeper merry-go-round at Stamford Bridge.

EXCLUSIVE! Real Madrid readying Enzo Fernandez offer and we can reveal the SIX replacements Chelsea are looking at!

We’ve had names such as Gaga Slonina who is Chelsea’s third choice goalkeeper right now and will likely be sold next summer. And we had Djordje Petrovic who came, went on loan, and then went on a permanent deal in the summer all in the space of just two seasons.

Filip Jorgensen came in and was handed his chance to take the number one spot off Robert Sanchez, something he has so far failed at.

And Sanchez himself carries a lot of question marks above his head from Chelsea fans who are still not confident with him in the sticks.

Then finally, there is Mike Penders, who Chelsea apparently rate highly but don’t see as quite ready yet as he earns his keep at sister-club Strasbourg on loan this season.

So it’s safe to say that the Chelsea goalkeeper merry-go-round has not ended yet and I am sure we will see even more new names linked and coming in, and more being sold in the coming transfer windows.

There could have also been another named added to this mix as well!

Chelsea tried to sign Krapyvtsov

After being released by SC Dnipro-1’s academy in 2024, Chelsea had a chance to sign goalkeeper Vladyslav Krapyvtsov on a free transfer.

However, Premier League regulations and some documentation issues blocked a move.

Speaking to Ukraine’s Tribuna, the 20-year-old said: “I could have been at Arsenal or Chelsea, but at the last moment there were problems with the documents. These are the nuances of the Premier League regulations.

“Chelsea couldn’t get another additional spot in the application for me. My agent called and told me how it was.”
