On Saturday, Oct. 4, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's football team took on Clemson University's Tigers, and Hudson was there to cheer on Belichick, 73, as she has been throughout most of the season.

The 24-year-old former college cheerleader appeared on the sidelines over the weekend dressed in all blue. Hudson wore blue snakeskin pants, a matching blue top and sunglasses for her sidelines appearance.

Hudson was also spotted chatting with Atlantic Coast Conference commissioner Jim Phillips during the game. The ACC is the conference that UNC competes in.

The game marked UNC's fifth game, and third loss of the season under new coach Belichick, with the Tar Heels falling 38-10 to Clemson.

The game is also the first game back for Belichick, after UNC's bye week last week and his first game back since the news of a new lawsuit by former UNC administrator Chris Clemens, which claims that Belichick was illegally hired for their head coaching position.

The suit, obtained by PEOPLE, was filed on Monday, Sept. 22, and claims Belichick's hire in December is one of three examples of the university's board of trustees' "pattern and practice" of keeping "matters of grave public concern behind closed doors."

Clemens is also claiming the university "approved the hire" of Belichick, 73, during an illegal closed meeting that violated North Carolina's laws of open meetings and public records for the public university.

"The Board's perfunctory return to open session for rubber-stamp vote [to hire Belichick] demonstrates that substantive deliberation occurred in secret," the lawsuit reads.

Clemens, former provost for the school, also claims the university penalized him for "leaking closed-session information" and pointed to two additional instances of illegal closed-door meetings since 2023.

Clemens claims the board of trustees held a closed session regarding their partnership with the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in November 2023, to discuss "potential financial outcomes with SEC or Big Ten membership," per the filing.

During UNC's bye week, Belichick and Hudson were spotted enjoying a weekend away out and about in Nantucket, Mass.

In photos from the getaway, Hudson and Belichick took a stroll down a boardwalk on the island, and elsewhere in town, with Hudson sporting an on-theme navy blue sweater with a lobster decoration for the outing.

Hudson has continued to show up for Belichick throughout the season, often adapting her outfits to show support for the Tar Heels or include Taylor Swift references (Hudson is a self-proclaimed Swiftie).
