North DeSoto running back Braeyln Latin attracted nearly 11,000 votes to win the Week 4 Shreveport Times Football Athlete of the Week poll.

North DeSoto running back Braelyn Latin topped 14 additional athletes from 14 North Louisiana football teams to win the annual 2025-26 Times football Athlete of the Week poll for Week 4 in the Raising Cane’s, Cosse and Silmon Orthodontics and the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission sponsored event.

Latin and his fans accumulated 10,796 votes, 36.9% of the 29,245 votes cast in the poll that ran for a week at Shreveporttimes.com. Finishing second with a strong performance was Captain Shreve’s Shawn Devers, who notched an impressive 9,805 votes (33.5%).

Latin will be presented a sports backpack with a Raising Cane’s boxed lunch gift card and some swag courtesy of Raising Cane’s, Cosse and Silmon Orthodontics, the Shreveport-Bossier Sports Commission and The Times.

Latin has been a solid performer for the Griffins who have run their 2025 record to 5-0 after topping BTW this past Friday. He scored three times in the victory after seeing more action than usual in the contest.

“Brady is a great kid who has a bright future as a tight end for us,” Calvary coach Rodney Guin said.

Also on the ballot were Malachi Zieglar, Benton; Ashur Murray, Byrd; Joshua Fisher, Huntington; John Paul Thibodaux, St. Mary’s; Jameson Harden, North Webster; Peyton Houston, Evangel; Ethan Johnson, Haughton; Jeremia Jones, Minden; Terrell Pegues, Mansfield; Hayden Horton, Loyola; Trey Fielding, Haynesville; Griffin Towns, D’Arbonne Woods and Trey McDaniel, Calvary.
