Latrell Allmond, one of the top power forwards in the 2026 class, tells Rivals he is down to five schools: Indiana, Maryland, Oklahoma State, Tennessee, and Virginia.
The 6-foot-8 four-star senior of Petersburg High (VA) has completed official visits to each of his finalists except Maryland, where he’s scheduled to visit this weekend. Additionally, Allmond will announce his commitment next Monday, October 13th.
He previously considered schools like Kansas, Miami, Michigan State, and Arizona.
Allmond, a native of Richmond, Virginia, is ranked as the No. 21 overall player in the nation, according to Rivals Top-150. He’s also the No. 3 ranked power forward and the No. 2 player in Virginia.
More on Allmond
Rivals’ Jamie Shaw recently wrote the following on Allmond:
Latrell Allmond was one of the stars of the NBPA Top 100 Camp, and the 6-foot-8 forward parlayed that into the June Scholastic Live Period. Playing with Petersburg (VA) High, Allmond was an offensive threat at multiple levels. He gained advantages from two and three dribbles and consistently shot the ball at a high rate.
Allmond is a noted tough guy. A player who finds winning plays consistently throughout the course of a game. A lot of that is why he is currently ranked No. 21 in the 2026 On3 150. This summer, with the Team Loaded VA program on the Adidas 3SSB Circuit, Allmond is averaging 15.0 and 7.5 rebounds while shooting 47.1 percent from three. Allmond had the baselines buzzing as he continues to be one of the biggest risers in this cycle.
