After dropping their third straight game to the Detroit Lions on Sunday, it's evident that the Cincinnati Bengals need some help.

After losing franchise quarterback Joe Burrow to a toe injury in Week 2, the Bengals' high spending this past offseason hasn't been able to produce wins. Cincinnati's now 2-3 on the season, and signs of a Burrow return are still months away.

What can the Bengals do to help bolster the team for the time being and stay relevant in the postseason picture? 

Could the Bengals trade for Falcons QB Kirk Cousins?

Although head coach Zac Taylor has leaned on backup quarterback Jake Browning since Joe Burrow went down, it's been a frustrating process for the Bengals. Browning's six touchdowns and eight interceptions through four games might be a call for a big move in Cincinnati.

Josh Well of Pro Football Network listed off potential trades for all 32 NFL teams, and the Bengals could show interest in Atlanta Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Although Cousins is in just his second season of a four-year, $180 million deal he signed to join the Falcons, it's only obvious that Atlanta is ready to move on from the 37-year-old after benching him for Michael Penix Jr. in 2024.

If the Falcons and Bengals are desperate enough, Atlanta could take on some of his contract while shipping him to Cincinnati. It would be up to the Bengals to add the necessary pieces in a trade to acquire him and help replace Joe Burrow.

Although Cousins may be on the back half of his career and most likely won't be the same 4,917-yard passer he was in 2016, he could be the replacement the Bengals need to put together some wins for the time being.
