The Washington Commanders have been without top wide receiver Terry McLaurin for the last two games because of a quadriceps injury.
McLaurin suffered the injury in Week 3 and that has sidelined him in each of the past two weeks. Thankfully, it looks like he has a chance to play in Week 6 against the Chicago Bears.
Commanders head coach Dan Quinn revealed on Monday that he's "optimistic" that McLaurin will play against Chicago.
"Quinn said he's 'optimistic' about Terry McLaurin for this week and reiterates that he and others -- Noah Brown, Sam Cosmi -- are trending in the right direction. Having the extra day helps," ESPN's John Keim reported.
Of course, the Commanders play on Monday night, so that gives McLaurin an extra day to get ready, which only increases his chances of suiting up.
With McLaurin out once again on Sunday, quarterback Jayden Daniels relied upon 2025 stalwart Deebo Samuel, who has been fantastic this season. Guys like Luke McCaffrey, Jacory Croskey-Merritt and Jaylin Lane also chipped in.
With how well Samuel has played this season, the Commanders are going to be absolutely stacked at wide receiver once McLaurin and Noah Brown are healthy.
Things are definitely looking up in Washington now that the dust is settling from Washington's early-season injury woes.
