Milan’s shocking penalty record is a cause for concern

Milan returned from Turin with a 0-0 draw against Juventus last night but as midfielder Adrien Rabiot put it, it was more of two points lost than a point gained for the Rossoneri. In a game of not many chances, Christian Pulisic put his penalty high and wide of the mark. Not much criticism can be afforded to the American given that it was a rare failure in what has been a fantastic season so far. However, Milan’s record from the spot in 2025 is abysmal. Out of 7 attempts in Serie A, they have missed 5. Theo Hernandez, Tammy Abraham and Santi Gimenez are the others who have missed, with Pulisic having scored the only two that were converted. As reported by calciomercato.com, manager Massimiliano Allegri said that Pulisic will continue to be the first choice but they need to look at other options if the American international is not on the pitch. Luka Modric, Rafael Leao and Santi Gimenez are the other possibilities for the role. Kaulik Mitra | GIFN
