The Wisconsin high school football season is officially past the halfway point as the postseason looms large just ahead in the final weeks of the 2025 campaign.
Arrowhead Warhawks are the No. 1 team in Wisconsin once again as they’ve held strong at the top spot. From powerhouse programs with rich traditions to promising underdogs looking to make a statement, here are the Top 25 teams in Wisconsin, according to Massey.
The Massey Ratings, officially used during the BCS era, is a model that ranks sports teams by analyzing game outcomes, strength of schedule, and margin of victory.
Here is the latest Wisconsin high school football Top 25 rankings, according to Massey as of Oct. 6.
1. Arrowhead Warhawks
Arrowhead Warhawks (6-1) entered the 2025 season looking to win their first state crown since 2013 and have started off fast with six wins this season. The Warhawks had one of their toughest games of the season last week, edging out Mukwonago in a 26-23 slugfest.
Jacob Siner (81 carries, 723 yards) has been the driving force behind Arrowhead’s offense this season and along with fellow back Jebari Craig Jr. (373 yards). Arrowhead starting quarterback Nolan Hanson (66 of 108 passes, 854 yards) has been solid with pass catchers Logan Crowley (19 catches, 267 yards) and Ryan Heiman (18 catches, 252 yards) leading the way.
The Warhawks return to their home turf on Friday night against No. 7 Hamilton (6-1).
2. Muskego Warriors
The Muskego Warriors (6-1) started off last season with a 3-3 record before going the rest of the way 6-2, with Muskego losing to Bay Port, 25-18, in the Division I state championship.
Muskego is off to a much better start and just recently upended top-ranked Arrowhead, 21-17, a couple weeks ago. The Warriors have been playing very well defensively, allowing just 76 points this fall through seven games. Muskego returns to the friendly confines of home when they take on Oconomowoc (4-3) on Friday night.
3. Franklin Sabers
Aside from the season opening 23-20 win over Catholic Memorial, the Franklin Sabers (7-0) have been otherwise dominant, especially defensively, through the opening few weeks of the season. The Sabers notched their third shutout of the season in a 49-0 romp over Tremper last week.
What hasn’t been a problem is scoring and stopping opponents, as the Sabers are averaging around 40 points per game and holding opposing offenses to less than 10 a contest. There’s a real chance that Franklin could run the table undefeated the rest of the way.
Franklin takes aim at winning its eighth game of the season when they take on Indian Trail Academy (2-4) on the road Friday night.
4. Neenah Rockets
Neenah(6-1) have for the first time this season cracking the Top 5 after a 7-0 victory over Kimberly last week.
The Rockets offense has been a steady group that’s currently averaging a cool 25.2 points per game this season. Neenah’s lone loss of the season was a 16-13 decision to top-ranked Arrowhead and will set their sights on a seventh win when they face off against Fond Du Lac at home Friday night.
5. Waunakee Warriors
Waunakee (7-0) are currently riding a 35-game winning streak against conference opponents and look to extend that throughout this 2025 regular season.
The Warriors’ defense has been one of the best in the state, only yielding 59 points through seven games.
Waunakee is looking to return to the top of Wisconsin high school football mountain top for the first time since 2021 and they’ll continuing relying upon a stout defense plus needing a solid campaign from starting quarterback Cole Krause. The 6-foot-2 signal caller passed for 243 yards in 2024. This week the Warriors will take on DeForest (2-4) on the road.
