ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – UTPB quarterback Kanon Gibson wins his second Lone Star Conference Player of the week for the 2025 season.
He played a big part in the Falcons’ 28-14 win over the Angelo State Rams. He went 26-of-40 through the air, had 328 total yards and four total touchdowns, three on the ground and one through the air.
“Kanon is playing really good football but he doesn’t do it without that receiving core, the plays they made especially in the 4th quarter,” Head coach Kris McCullough said.
Gibson and the Falcons prepare for another big test as they face No. 13 Central Washington Wildcats. The two teams face off on Saturday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m. in Ratliff Stadium.
