SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The first day of play has concluded in the class ‘AA’ and ‘A’ state boys golf tournaments as Dakota Valley and Harrisburg sit atop the standings.

CLASS ‘AA’

O’Gorman Taten Mauney is in first place at -4 after the first round at Meadowbrook Golf Course in Rapid City.

However, it’s Harrisburg who finds themselves atop the team leaderboard, four shots ahead of the Knights.

CLASS ‘A’

Dakota Valley is off to a strong start in the class ‘A’ tournament. Matt DeBeer is leading the way for the Panthers at -1.

St. Thomas More’s Hayden Heig is in first place for the event. He shot a three-under, 69 on Monday to hold sole possession of first place.

Day two of the event continues at the Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion.
