The 2025 NFL schedule is in full swing. With the NFL Week 6 schedule kicking off Thursday and continuing with more football games on Sunday and Monday, we have a lot to look forward to. This week, there are 15 NFL matchups to preview featuring 30 teams in action.

Football fans can look forward to several exciting matchups, including the Arizona Cardinals vs Indianapolis Colts, Dallas Cowboys vs Carolina Panthers, Seattle Seahawks vs Jacksonville Jaguars and Los Angeles Rams vs Baltimore Ravens at 1 pm. The late afternoon crowd gets the San Francisco 49ers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Meanwhile, the primetime action is even better.

Below, we dive into one bold prediction for each game on the Week 6 NFL schedule.

Skattebo Outgains Saquon in Giants Win Over Eagles

Saquon Barkley isn’t on a revenge tour anymore after leading the NFL with 2,005 rushing yards last season. After some offensive line changes, Barkley’s numbers are down across the board, averaging 3.2 yards per carry instead of the 5.8 he averaged in 2024.

Meanwhile, Giants fourth-round rookie Cam Skattebo is actually outdoing Barkley, averaging 3.8 yards per carry. He’s also recorded 45 or more receiving yards in two of his last three games. Skattebo has also averaged 105 yards from scrimmage over that span, showing true RB1 potential for the Giants.

The real surprise here would be if Skattebo could outperform Barkley, even if it’s just for one game. That would surely put a smile on Giants GM Joe Schoen’s face after he deemed Barkley too expensive for New York.

Jets Get 3 Turnovers in Win Over Broncos

The New York Jets have set a dubious mark as the first team known to record zero turnovers through five games. It’s not for a lack of effort, or a lack of talent. Plus, we can’t act like Jets head coach Aaron Glenn hasn’t been preaching the importance of turnovers since he took the job. Eventually we’ll see a big breakout performance from a Jets defense that features Quinnen Williams and Sauce Gardner and it could come this week against a fairly young Broncos offense that has multiple first and second-year players.

Kyler Murray’s 3 TD Leads Cardinals Over Colts

The Arizona Cardinals have shown more potential in Jonathan Gannon’s third season as head coach, but they’re still learning how to finish. After losing three consecutive games on last-second field goals, you’d expect the Cards to be especially hungry this week against a 4-1 Colts team. It all starts with their on-field leader. If Kyler Murray can get the Cardinals on the board early and often, they could pull off the type of galvanizing win that sets up a successful season.

Dolphins Hold Chargers Under 300 Yards in Big Win

The Los Angeles Chargers started hot by winning three in a row. Injuries have impacted them in the past two games, both losses, and now they won’t have either of their top two running backs on Sunday. Meanwhile, Mike McDaniel’s Miami Dolphins entered the season with playoff expectations but have lost four of their past five games, including last Sunday to the Panthers. Miami needs a win in the worst of ways, and playing a wounded Chargers team could help them put forth a dominant effort on both sides of the ball.

Drake Maye Takes 5 Sacks in Saints Win Over Patriots

Spencer Rattler finally got his first win, giving him a 1-10 record as a starter. Can he double his win total this week? He’s facing a hot New England Patriots team that may even be a playoff contender. Or maybe the Patriots are just overachieving early on. If so, the Saints could serve them a nice slice of humble pie by overwhelming New England’s young offensive line, with Carl Granderson leading the charge. Six different Saints defenders have already recorded a sack this season, and a couple more could join them on Sunday.

Dillon Gabriel’s 300-Yard Game Leads Browns Over Steelers

Dillon Gabriel fared better than many anticipated in his first start, especially considering it came against a Brian Flores-led Vikings defense. Now Gabriel gets to take what he learned from his first start and apply it against a Steelers defense that ranks 25th in passing yards allowed. Gabriel would certainly benefit from a big game from Quinshon Judkins taking short catches for long gains too.

Bryce Young Outgains Prescott in Panthers Win Over Cowboys

For momentary stretches, we see Bryce Young morph into an efficient quarterback who can march his team down the field. Last week he helped lead a 17-point comeback. This week, he’ll have to go back to being a high-volume passer to match wits with Dak Prescott‘s explosive passing attack. Yet, the Dallas Cowboys rank dead-last in passing yards allowed and yards allowed per pass attempt, so the Panthers have a big opportunity ahead.

Jaguars Keep Darnold Under 200 Yards, Beat Seahawks

Starting over with a new coaching staff and a fresh cast of receivers hasn’t diminished the momentum Sam Darnold gained last season. The former No. 3 pick once again looks like a Pro Bowl QB, passing for 218 or more yards in four of his first five starts. Meanwhile, the Jacksonville Jaguars have more interceptions than any other team in the NFL this season. A few errant or tipped passes could make for an ugly day for Darnold.

Puka Nacua’s 200-Yard Game Helps Rams Crush Ravens

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Rams

Puka Nacua has been unstoppable early on for the Los Angeles Rams. Only two teams have managed to keep him under 100 yards, and even then, Nacua has still recorded 85 and 91 yads in his less productive days. Already up to an NFL-high 588 yards through five games, now he faces a Baltimore Ravens defense on pace to allow more points than any other team in league history. Considering no other team has been able to slow Nacua down, we don’t expect Baltimore to find success either.

Titans Beat Raiders by Forcing 3 Turnovers

So far, the Tennessee Titans have committed seven turnovers, and they’ve forced eight turnovers. Yet, they could win the turnover battle again on Sunday as they face Geno Smith, who leads the NFL with nine interceptions thus far. The Las Vegas Raiders are underachieving under Pete Carroll, who admitted he expected to win right away. Meanwhile, the Titans are right where everyone expected, and a win on Sunday over a desperate Raiders team would definitely come as a surprise.

Jake Browning’s 300-Yard Game Leads Bengals Over Packers

Jake Browning looks like he’s well on his way to being replaced in the starting lineup. Heck, if the Cincinnati Bengals had a young prospect, Browning would likely already be benched. However, he could buy himself a few more weeks with a big game, such as a 300-yard day against a Green Bay Packers defense that ranks 12th in points allowed.

Mac Jones Uses 350-Yard Day to Beat Baker’s Buccaneers

A battle of former first-round picks, but Mac Jones began the season as a backup quarterback. Officially, there is no QB controversy brewing with the San Francisco 49ers, but a 350-yard day and another win from Brock Purdy‘s replacement could make things interesting. Plus, a win over Baker Mayfield‘s Tampa Bay Buccaneers would give Jones his second consecutive victory against a playoff team from last season. Those are big wins to get on his resume, especially if Purdy should struggle later on.

Travis Kelce’s 100-Yard Game Lifts Chiefs Past Lions

NFL: Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs

For all the recognition Travis Kelce has received, the future Hall of Famer is clearly slowing down. The 36-year-old hasn’t reached 70 yards in a single game this season. It took him until Week 8 to do so last season, and he only did it once more, in the Wild Card round. Sure to elevate his play taking on a potential Super Bowl contender with a former NFL tight end as their head coach, Kelce could put on a special performance against the Detroit Lions.

Falcons Win, Hold Bills Under 20 Points

NFL: Washington Commanders at Atlanta Falcons

To no surprise, the Buffalo Bills have a top three scoring offense this season, and they’ve only scored fewer than 30 points once, in last week’s loss. Last year’s Atlanta Falcons struggled on defense, allowing 24.9 points per game, but they’ve trimmed that number down to a respectable 21.5 in 2025. We’ll be even more impressed if they can shut the Bills down on Monday Night Football.

Bears Win, Keep Commanders Under 100 Rush Yards

NFL: Chicago Bears at Las Vegas Raiders

Jayden Daniels always presents a threat to score, every time he touches the ball, whether it’s a pass or run. Rookie running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt is coming off a big breakout performance of 150 yards from scrimmage. Their momentum suggests Washington would be on track for another big day, especially against a Bears defense that allows a league-worst 6.1 yards per rush attempt. However, Chicago will have 15 days to prepare for the Commanders, so we’re expecting an improved effort.
