Charlotte, NC — Charlotte played host to day 2 of the annual ACC Tip-Off media day.
And in the afternoon session, the spotlight was on the Virginia Tech Hokies men’s basketball team.
Of course, expectations are getting high for Mike Young with the Hokies as he looks to get the team back in the NCAA tournament, and he’s got a lot of depth on a team, which should help him accomplish that mission.
Mike Young-Virginia Tech head coach-“We are. Excited, tap the brake a little bit, and I see all these good friends of mine. We’re so excited about basketball soon, so just give me five more weeks.”
Tobi Lawal-Virginia Tech Senior Forward- “The reason is because, and I feel like it’s coming together nicely, so like the general processes still gonna have a bit of time. We played the game together.”
Jailen Bedford-Virginia Tech Graduate Guard- “and overlook a little bit, and I like the fact that we’re looking underdog, we’re gonna come out there and prove people wrong.”
Amani Hansberry – Virginia Tech Junior Forward – I feel like doing that. You gotta have some sort of attitude energy to bring your shoulder. Great, you gotta be a dog overall.”
The Virginia Tech Hokies men’s basketball team expects a lot of success as they will tip off the season coming up in a few weeks.
