Genoa’s Marco Ottolini has emerged as the leading candidate to become the new Juventus sporting director, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Juventus have been looking for a new sporting director since last summer, and according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Ottolini, who is covering the same role at Genoa, is currently the leading candidate at the Allianz Stadium.

Juventus’ General Manager Damien Comolli said in his unveiling press conference in June that he’d be looking for a sporting director and a technical director.
François Modesto was appointed as Juventus’ technical director a few months ago, so the new sporting director is the last missing piece to complete the Bianconeri’s control room.

Romano says that Ottolini is not the only option for the Bianconeri, but he’s currently the favourite one.
According to the report, Juventus never really entered talks with Benfica’s Rui Pedro Bratz, who has rejected an offer from the Premier League to sign for Al Ahli.
