Report Allegri rebuked Milan star Rafael Leao in front of the team after Juventus draw

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that an angry Massimiliano Allegri ‘firmly’ told Rafael Leao in front of the team that he must show a different attitude in the future, after a 0-0 draw against Juventus on Sunday.

Gazzetta reports that Allegri verbally ‘attacked’ the Portuguese winger inside the dressing room at the Allianz Stadium, blaming the 26-year-old in front of his teammates.

The report claims that Allegri ‘firmly’ told Leao that the attitude for playing at Milan is not the one he showed in Turin.

Leao was introduced as a substitute on Sunday, making his second Serie A appearance this season, but missed two big chances, including one in the final minutes.

A video of Allegri warning Leao not to upset him – in a ruder way – has gone viral in Italy in recent days, while Italian media have also criticised the Portuguese winger for his performances against Napoli and Juventus.

Rabiot warned Leao

Gazzetta suggests that Allegri’s rebuke is a possible turning point in the Milan campaign, while Leao must fight for a starting spot with Santiago Gimenez and Christopher Nkunku.

Milan star Rabiot also warned Leao on Wednesday, saying that he should fulfil his potential as, at 26, “you are no longer young.”
