Oct. 8 (UPI) -- The Cincinnati Bengals will start quarterback Joe Flacco against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in Green Bay, Wis., coach Zac Taylor announced Wednesday.

Flacco, who joined the Bengals through a trade Tuesday, went 1-3 as a starter through four appearances this season for the Cleveland Browns. That stretch included a 13-10 win over the Packers on Sept. 21 in Cleveland.

"He brings great experience, great leadership," Taylor told reporters, when asked about Flacco. "His style fits our style of play too. Excited to get him out there. We'll start him this week. He is going to take all the reps and get ready to go."

Bengals backup Jake Browning, who started the last three weeks in place of injured starter Joe Burrow, is set to move to second string. Sean Clifford is the Bengals' practice squad quarterback and could be their emergency option in Week 6.

Flacco, 40, completed 58.1% of his throws for 815 yards, two scores and six interceptions through his four appearances this season. He completed 21 of 36 passes for 142 yards and an interception in the Browns' Week 3 win over the Packers.
