MURFREESBORO, Tenn–Missouri State was on the road in Tennessee.

And Ryan Beard and his Bears were looking for their first Conference USA victory in their first Wednesday night game in decades.

2-3 Missouri State at 1-4 Middle Tennessee.

Freshman Deuce Bailey started at quarterback for MoState for the injured Jacob Clark.

And it was 3-0 Blue Raiders in the second quarter when there’s a bad snap, and the Bears Jaylen Brooks recovers.

A few plays later, Bailey cashes it in, races to the near pylon a five yard touchdown, it’s 6-3 MoState with the missed PAT.

Middle Tennessee answers, Nick Vattiato with this 52 yard touchdown pass to Cam Lacy it’s 10-6 Blue Raiders.

Missouri State back the other way, Bailey to Ronnel Johnson a 20 yard touchdown it’s 13-10 Bears.

It was 16-13 MoState at the half.

19-13 Bears in the fourth quarter when Vattiato hits Lacy again, this time from ten yards out it’s 20-19 Middle Tennessee in the fourth quarter.

Missouri State’s Yousef Obeid with a 29-yard field goal that gives the Bears a 22-20 lead.

Middle Tennessee with a chance to win, but Jacob Hathaway’s 50 yarder is no good, and Missouri State wins 22-20.
