Dallas Cowboys receiver Ryan Flournoy had his moment against the New York Jets in the 37-22 win as he took his opportunity with both hands.
No CeeDee Lamb or KaVontae Turpin? No problem.
Flournoy stepped up with six catches for 114 yards in a performance no one saw coming as he tormented the Jets' defense time and time again.
Such was Ryan's performance that many likened it to Miles Austin's breakout game for the Cowboys back in 2009, when he posted 250 receiving yards and two touchdowns from his 10 catches, as he, like Flournoy, came from nowhere to make a name for himself.
Now this is where it gets interesting. Flournoy wears No.19, so did Austin. Both breakout games happened in October...and both on the road.
But wait, there's more. Flournoy has revealed the reason he wears No. 19.
“I mean, growing up, I watched football, so I knew he wore 19,” Flournoy said. “The reason I got 19 is because Miles Austin and Amari Cooper, so I just feel like I play like them, big, fast, just finesse, and just wanted to keep that tradition for real.”

Flournoy now has hard path ahead
Flournoy's game against the Jets was superb, but now comes the hard part...doing it consistently.
In Austin's case, the following week, he went for 171 yards and two touchdowns before having games of 61, 49, 145, 104, 71, 139, 92, and 90 yards to end the year with 1,320 yards, 11 touchdowns, and a Pro Bowl nod.
Now, will Flournoy do that? Not likely, but consistency is key, and we have heard Brian Schottenheimer mention it frequently; he wants his players to be consistent.
Flournoy announced himself to the NFL world; now, he must try to show that he can do it more than once.
