Frank Lampard admits that he finally sees the steps taken forward by Chelsea lately after he watched them this weekend.
Lampard said he got home in time to watch Chelsea beat Liverpool 2-1 on Saturday evening and was impressed with what he saw. Jamie Carragher reacted to the defeat against Chelsea in some comments that all Chelsea fans were waiting to read after the game!

We already covered some fresh comments from Lampard yesterday when he was comparing Moises Caicedo to Chelsea legends N’Golo Kante and Claude Makelele. It’s always great to hear from Lampard.
Lampard has managed Chelsea under this ownership but it was a hugely toxic time at the club when he took the temporary role to see them through until the end of the season.
But the Blues legend believes there is a different feel now and things are finally coming together at the club.

As cited on X, Lampard said:
“I managed to get home and watch the match, the Bridge looked like it was flying, it was one of those special nights.
“Hopefully it gives them a boost, they have a lot of talent but the league is so hard.
“You look at how established the Arsenal squad is now and Liverpool, with the power they have of Virgil and Salah and players.
“Even though Liverpool are bringing in more players, they’ve still got that spine of players that have done it before.
“The challenge is big for Chelsea but, talent-wise, where they’ve got to from a couple of years ago… and when I went back there, you could see it a really difficult time for the club.
“I think you finally see the steps being taken forward with the squad and what the manager is doing so I was pleased for him.”
