Paul Skenes is relishing in the joys of the offseason!

The Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher, 23, was smiling ear-to-ear as he cooked up dinner on his in-home, stadium-sized hot dog roller seen in a TikTok video shared by his girlfriend Livvy Dunne on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

In the video, Skenes — who played his final game of the season on Sept. 24 against the Cincinnati Reds — happily looked down at his four hot dogs slow-rolling in the grilling machine that rotated below a corresponding row of buns on the shelf above.

Dunne, 23, poked fun at her boyfriend of two years with a cheeky message over the video.

"The sound that plays in my head when my bf brings out the hot dog roller for dinner," she wrote.

The text was a reference to the dramatic music that drops at random moments throughout the audio bite, each time cutting to a different angle of the MLB star tending to his dogs.

"He takes his craft very seriously," the retired gymnast captioned the video.

The machine is a significant addition to the couple's home, given their shared love of the food synonymous with baseball.

In fact, Dunne — who announced her retirement from competitive gymnastics in April 2025 after taking part in the sport since she was three years old — has been on a food-focused quest of her own now that she has the time to support her boyfriend at games.

"I am rating hot dogs at every stadium I go to," she previously told PEOPLE of her goal. "I honestly really like PNC Park, where Paul pitches."

The TikTok star, whose romance with Skenes was publicly confirmed in August 2023, also revealed the one rule they follow as a couple that makes their relationship work.

"We don't restrict each other from doing things," she shared, explaining, "I've been in relationships in the past like that — where it's almost like you have a leash on you, you can't do anything."

"But he has a job to do and I have a job to do — I know that's so important for two young kids in a relationship to realize," she continued. "So yeah, we just have a good time and it's a two-way road."

Dunne, who met Skenes at Louisiana State University where they were both student-athletes, was showered with gifts from her boyfriend on Oct. 1 in celebration of her 23rd birthday. She documented the festivities on her Instagram.

The baseball player decorated with tons of light pink and blue balloons, including a cake made out of balloons that nearly reached his shoulders. He made sure to gift her a big bouquet of white roses and as well as a blue and pink birthday cake.

In the video, Dunne can be heard saying “Oh my god,” before she tells him, "Good work."

The pitcher was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the first overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft.
