One has to begin to wonder if Manchester United truly has become a poisoned chalice, with Denmark's Rasmus Højlund enjoying himself tonight on international duty.
On loan at Serie A holders Napoli, the 22-year-old København native has found a new lease on life away from Old Trafford, bagging four goals in six appearances across all competitions for Partenopei.
His newly-discovered form appears to have transitioned from Napoli blue to Danish red this evening, with the striker completing a first-half brace as De Rød-Hvide coast to a 4-0 half-time lead at Belarus in their World Cup Qualifying clash.
Not only is he now sitting on 10 goals for Denmark, but Højlund has now smashed six goals in seven starts for club and country in 2025/26.

After first rising to some level of prominence during his stint with Atalanta in the 2022-23 Serie A season, Højlund was incapable of offering the goods necessary at the Theatre of Dreams before securing a move away from the northwest of England.
But were his failings all down to him?
