The college swim and dive season is well underway, but this week two of the nation's top programs will go head-to-head as Florida hosts Virginia.

Both the Gators and Cavaliers are considered blue bloods in the world of collegiate swimming. Virginia's women's squad rounded out last season as repeat D1 national champions, while Florida's men finished fourth at NCAAs, and Florida's women sixth.

Though Florida is a consistent contender, the program hasn't won a men's or women's title since 1984. The Gators will be looking to have a breakout season, while Virginia's women will be working towards an unprecedented six-peat.
