Manchester City’s Erling Haaland has been crowned Premier League Player of the Month for September, after another ruthless run of performances in front of goal.

The Norwegian hitman was at his clinical best, finding the net five times and setting up another during a sparkling spell that kept City among the pace-setters.

He opened the month with two goals in the 3-0 derby win over Manchester United at the Etihad, before adding a sharp finish in the 1-1 draw away to Arsenal. Haaland then rounded things off by bagging a late brace in the 5-1 home thrashing of Burnley, a result that underlined his consistency and composure.

This latest trophy marks his fourth Player of the Month award, beating off competition from Daichi Kamada, Yankuba Minteh, Robin Roefs and Granit Xhaka, and Martin Zubimendi (Arsenal).

Glasner earns first Manager of the Month award

Oliver Glasner has picked up his first-ever Barclays Manager of the Month award, after guiding Crystal Palace through an unbeaten September.

The Eagles continued their fine form under the Austrian coach, stretching their unbeaten streak to 19 games in all competitions.

Palace began the month with a goalless draw against Sunderland, followed by a 2-1 away win at West Ham, and wrapped it up with a dramatic late victory over Liverpool - a result that left them as the only Premier League side yet to taste defeat by the end of September.

Glasner edged out Pep Guardiola, Mikel Arteta, and Régis Le Bris to claim the honour.
