Southlake Carroll (TX) head coach Riley Dodge wins 100th game

Riley Dodge once quarterbacked the Southlake Carroll Dragons and then returned to become the program’s head coach. The school has seen some pretty good returns through the 109 games Dodge has coached.

On Thursday night, Dodge was able to notch a milestone win at his alma mater.

Dodge clinched career victory No. 100 after Southlake Carroll’s 66-7 victory over Eaton. For his career, Dodge improved to 100-9 all time as a head coach, which also includes five undefeated regular seasons along the way.

The Dragons’ lead man has done a ton of winning during his time at Southlake Carroll, as Dodge owns a 53-1 district record, six district championships, boasts a 27-7 playoff mark along with five state semifinal and two state championship appearances.

A chance for victory No. 101 comes next week on Friday night when Southlake Carroll takes on Northwest.

The Dragons (7-0) started the 2025 season off with a bang when they cruised to a 49-0 rout of Midland and followed it up with a 35-7 thrashing of Hebron. Southlake Carroll’s latest victory before Thursday night’s was a 63-28 rout of Keller the previous week.

Southlake Carroll features Pittsburgh commit Angelo Renda (2,110 yards, 23 touchdowns) and his favorite target, Ohio State pledge Brock Boyd, who has caught 41 passes for 590 yards and nine touchdowns.
