Ponte Vedra Beach (Fla.) Nease Rivals300 linebacker Jacob Curry has committed to Oklahoma.
The four-star prospect chose to play his college football for head coach Brent Venables and the Sooners over Ohio State, Florida State and Baylor among others.
“OU felt like home from the moment I stepped on campus,” Curry told Rivals. “My relationship with the coaches have been strong since day one and I know they will develop me on and off the field. They have a plan for me and I’m excited to learn from the best defense in college football.
“I’ve found my home and proud to be a Sooner.”
Curry is a former Northwestern recruit that took his official to Norman for the Sooners win over Auburn. That trip put Oklahoma in the driver seat.
Now he’s in the fold.
“It was an amazing game day experience and official visit,” Curry said at the time. “I completely believe in Coach Venables and what he’s building at OU.
“It’s the whole package…every aspect from the coaches, culture, fans, facilities and development I’d receive sets them apart.
“I love everything about OU”.
Curry becomes commit No. 21 for Oklahoma in the 2026 cycle, adding to a class Rivals previously ranked No. 20 nationally.
Rivals ranks Curry as the nation’s No. 15 linebacker and No. 255 prospect overall. The Rivals Industry respectively slots him at No. 36 and No. 436.
In his first five games as a junior Curry has racked up 53 tackles with four coming for loss, two sacks, 11 hurries and a forced fumble. He had 101 stops as a junior, forced two fumbles and defended seven passes.
