In a recent post on X, SER Deportivos claimed that Real Madrid are dreaming of a move for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. It has been stated that Los Blancos are willing to cash in on Vinicius Junior to fund a move for the Norway international.
Haaland’s Impressive Form In The Premier League
Haaland has made a great start to this campaign as he has produced a series of impressive displays as the focal point of Pep Guardiola’s attack. The Norwegian centre-forward has banged in 12 goals and grabbed one assist in nine matches for Man City this season across all competitions.
The 25-year-old has led the line well for the Mancunian giants and deserves credit for averaging 4.4 shots per 90 minutes in the Premier League. He has kept 48.3% of his attempts on target. However, Haaland needs to find a way to improve his ball distribution in the final third, as evidenced by his pass completion rate of 66.3% in league football (stats via fbref.com).
Haaland is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until the summer of 2034. Hence, Real Madrid would have to make a big offer if they are serious about recruiting him next year.

Should Real Madrid Boss Xabi Alonso Go For Haaland?
Haaland can find a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to create the odd chance in the final third and has proven his worth as a deadly finisher in front of the opposition goal.
The Norwegian sensation is also quite clever with his movements up top. Hence, he would be a dream signing for Los Blancos to pull off next year.
We can expect Haaland to add a lot of goals to Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso’s frontline. He has what it takes to nail down a regular first-team football at the Madrid club in the coming years.
At 25, Haaland has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a great option for the La Liga giants to consider in 2026. He would even help Los Blancos compete for some major honours over the next few years. Hence, Alonso would be wise to go for a player of his quality at the end of this campaign.
