Week 6 of high school football begins on Friday, and all 13 teams are in action as the second half of the season kicks off.
This week's schedule features just two games between area teams as South Lafourche hosts Vandebilt Catholic and A.J. Ellender hosts Assumption.
However, there's also plenty of action involving one area team. Perhaps the biggest game of the weekend across all of Louisiana is when 5-0 Thibodaux travels to take on 4-1 Destrehan. St. James also faces off against Archbishop Shaw in a battle of consistent championship contenders.
