South Range ended their 2-game losing skid by blanking Niles.
CANFIELD, Ohio (WKBN) – South Range dropped their previous two contests to Poland and Girard — the top two teams in the Northeast 8.
The Raiders got back on track by shutting out Niles, 62-0, to improve to 5-3 on the season.
South Range outgained the Red Dragons, 436-19. The Raiders featured six rushing touchdowns, with a pair by Jason Vorshak and Drew Starkey.
High School Football Landscape: Contenders
The Raiders’ quarterback Nick Toy completed 10 of 13 for 146 yards and two touchdown tosses. Gavin Hiscox hauled in five balls for 95 yards and two scores.
The Red Dragons have been shut out twice in the past three weeks.
Next week, South Range will play host to Cardinal Mooney (6-2). Niles (0-8) will play at Struthers on Friday.
