(WTAJ) — It was a week full of highlight-reel moments on the high school gridiron, and there was one player and one play that stood above the rest.

Bishop Guilfoyle’s Jake Kissell and Greater Johnstown’s Stephen Hill-Goodman earned this week’s Sportsbeat Player and Play of the Week honors.

For the Player of the Week, Bishop Guilfoyle senior quarterback Jake Kissell put on a show against Forest Hills. Kissell was involved in every one of the Marauders’ touchdowns, rushing for three scores and throwing for another as Bishop Guilfoyle powered to a 28-14 road victory over the Rangers.

His all-around performance kept the Marauders’ offense rolling and helped secure a crucial win to move Bishop Guilfoyle to 7-1 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Play of the Week belonged to Stephon Hill-Goodman of Greater Johnstown. Despite the Trojan’s narrow 27-24 loss to Penns Valley, Hill-Goodman turned heads with an acrobatic touchdown catch, leaping above a defender to haul it in for one of the most impressive plays of the season.

Fans can catch more standout performances and game highlights each week on WTAJ’s Sportsbeat, airing at 11:10 p.m. on Friday nights.
