The Game of the Week is a big showdown in Alamance County between Williams and Southeast Alamance.

The Bulldogs came into the game 5-1, and the Stallions came in 4-2.

Ultimately, the Bulldogs proved victorious. The final score was 41 to 21.

Asheboro vs. Southeast Guilford

Another great matchup tonight was between Asheboro and Southeast Guilford.

Asheboro was visiting Southeast Guilford, and the big question of the night was could the Blue Comets slow down the super running back of the Falcons?

The Blue Comets ran the rock, and the inside handoff went to Connor Brinton. He picked up some nice yards and a first down.

But in the second quarter, Micah Garcia connected on a 27-yard field goal for the first points of the game. It was 3 to 0 with the Blue Comets up.

Southeast Guilford answered with a long drive of their own, but Phoenix Fleming, with a 7-yard touchdown pass to Joshua Penn, led the Falcons to take the lead at 7 to 3.

Travis Motley had a big game last week, and he picked up right where he left off.

There was a nice gain to keep the chains moving, and that set up another touchdown pass. Fleming passed to Nassim Motley, and it was 14 to 3 with the Falcons on top at the break.

The defense made it tough for Asheboro. Brian Bellerand had the quarterback sack, and Southeast Guilford got the win 21 to 3.

It was a meaningful game between Northeast Guilford and Northern Guilford.

The Nighthawks made huge plays on defense. Bobby Bah intercepted right at the goal line to stop the Rams’ drive.

But the Northeast defense came up big, too. Amarhie Glover picked off Jaxson Kemp and headed down the sidelines all the way for a Rams touchdown..

Back to the Northern defense. Linebacker Hunter Crum picked off this pass and returned it inside the 10.

Overall, Northern Guilford won a tough battle with Northeast. The final score was 14 to 8.
