SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The Miles Bulldogs were within striking distance against the Albany Lions at halftime in Friday’s District 7-2A Division II opener at Gary Krejci Memorial Stadium, and then things got out of hand.

Albany was up 13-0 at the break, and the Lions came on strong in the second half on its way to a 48-0 shutout.

The Lions improved to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in district, while dropping Miles to 1-5 and 0-1.

Miles will try to bounce back next week at home against Cross Plains in a matchup of teams looking for their first district wins in 2025.
