FNF Week 6: St. Augustine dominates Jesuit, 46-23

METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — The St. Augustine Purple Knights faced the Jesuit Blue Jays at the Shrine on Airline on Friday night.

The Purple Knights are looking to bounce back from last week’s 42-21 loss to the Edna Karr Cougars.

St. Augustine scored early and often. The offense was efficient in both ways through the rushing attack led by Khlil Lewis or through the air led by stars Miguel Whitley and RayQuan Williams. For Vashaun Coloun, he credits his offensive line in pioneering his success.

Defensively, the Purple Knights played lights out in the first half holding the Blue Jays to 9 points but all field goals.

You can catch more high school football action on Season 34 of WGNO’s Friday Night Football, a program founded by Ed Daniels and always presented by the Allstate Sugar Bowl.

You can catch the shows on Friday at 11 p.m. on Nola 38, the CW.

The show replays at midnight on WGNO.
