One of the oldest classics on the cycling calendar, the Paris-Tours Elite, will take place on Sunday. The 119th edition of the prestigious race will begin from Chartres and finish in Tours.
France's Christophe Laporte, who is the defending champion, headlines a stacked field that includes the likes of Jasper Philipsen and Arnaud De Lie. Having beaten Mathias Vacek to the finish line last year, Laporte will look to repeat the feat in front of his home crowd.
What makes the Paris-Tours one of the more interesting, is the varied terrain. This year's route will take the riders through ten unpaved sectors and eight climbs, the last of which is just 5.4 miles before the finish line.
