The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to Kemon Spell, who is a five-star running back recruit
The Georgia Bulldogs have offered a scholarship to the No. 1 running back recruit in the class of 2027, Kemon Spell. Georgia offered the five-star recruit with intriguing timing. The Bulldogs offered Spell, who is a Penn State Nittany Lions commitment, right after the Nittany Lions suffered an embarrassing road defeat to UCLA.
Spell is ranked as the No. 8 recruit in the junior class. The 5-foot-9, 205-pound running back is a local prospect for Penn State and has been committed to the Nittany Lions since Aug. 2024.
The elite running back plays high school football for McKeesport High School in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. He is the top ranked recruit in Pennsylvania, per 247Sports. Spell also plays cornerback for his high school, but is primarily viewed as a running back recruit.
Spell recently had an 18-touch, 143-yard and three touchdown performance in a dominant win with his high school. The Penn State commitment has excellent speed (runs a 10.8 second 100-meters), but still has a strong amount of power. Spell has a compact frame and is an effective pass catcher.
The five-star had over 1,600 rushing yards and 24 touchdowns during his sophomore season with McKeesport.

Georgia's offer has drawn the attention of Spell, who plans to visit UGA. He's a running back recruit to watch in the class of 2027.
Georgia coach Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs have the No. 8 recruiting class in the 2027 cycle. The Bulldogs have four commitments in the class of 2027, but none at running back. There's still a very long way to go before early signing day for the 2027 recruiting class.
